Margaret Durand

Margaret Durand Margaret Durand is currently acting project leader for the FEIW project, having joined the team as a pilot programme co-ordinator. A native of Waterford, she has a huge interest in improving the opportunities for business women in the south east. Her focus has been on the analysis of the findings of our primary research and co-ordinating the marketing of the program to participants, website design and maintenance and co-ordinating the running of the project.

When she finished college in 2002, Margaret worked in a small marketing company run by two women in a dual role as office manager and project manager. She has also been involved in starting up a business with a male partner in the recycling sector as well as doing some freelance work for small businesses in the region. Having then worked in a male-dominated manufacturing environment where the “glass ceiling” was overtly low and well-protected, she was extremely interested in participating on this forward-thinking project.

“My priority is to help eradicate the barriers to women succeeding in business in the South East today, hence hopefully opening up a supported future in business for women in my region.”
