Eileen Sinnott
Eileen Sinnott is research assistant working on the FEIW project. Her first task for the project involved identifying what courses if any, were available in the South East of Ireland for people intending to start their own business in addition to establishing what exactly these courses had to offer and when and where they were available. Eileen’s research has involved a fact-finding visit to Sweden, the attendance at a conference in Wales for and about women in business, and the design, implementation and analysis of two questionnaire surveys. She has also been busy working on a conference for the region that will help to raise awareness of the project and its remit. Her research interest is in the area of female graduates’ attitudes towards entrepreneurship and how to make entrepreneurship more accessible and attractive to female graduates. “My interest in this area developed through working in women led businesses and experiencing the joys and tribulations that women can face in running their own business.” |
